Suar Wood Table

On our honeymoon in Bali, we fell in love with a local Indonesia wood.  So instead of purchasing art, we bought two slabs of raw wood to bring home.  This 5" thick slab of Suar wood made a beautiful table top and there is a large split down the middle I chose to highlight.  On one end the split was quite large, so I used a piece of laser cut steel to float in the middle so a plate wouldn't fall through.  The welded steel base is quite simple to highlight the top.
